Nicole Starr is an associate practicing in the Litigation Practice Group in the Firm's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office.
Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Ms. Starr held clerkships in both state and federal courts. She first clerked for the Honorable Phillippe Melograne in the Washington County Court of Common Pleas, where she researched issues and prepared orders in family, criminal and civil law cases. Most recently, Ms. Starr clerked for the Honorable Richard A. Morgan in the Office of Administrative Law Judges, United States Department of Labor. During her clerkship, she drafted orders and decisions for cases arising under eight different statutes within the jurisdiction of the OALJ, including the whistleblower, workers' compensation and immigration statutes.
Ms. Starr earned her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, from which she graduated summa cum laude in 2010. While in law school, she was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. She was also a research assistant for two professors and a teaching assistant in the law school's nationally recognized legal research and writing program. Ms. Starr obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in political science from the University of Michigan in 2007.
