Jay E. Ingle is a Member in the Firm’s Lexington, Kentucky, office. He is the Assistant Leader of the Health Care and Finance Practice Group. Mr. Ingle’s practice areas include business law and civil litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation, employment law, health law and medical malpractice. He also regularly advises clients on various governmental, legislative and regulatory matters.
Mr. Ingle is admitted to practice in Kentucky and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky and Fayette County Bar Associations. Mr. Ingle has authored chapters in Kentucky Corporation Law, Election Law in Kentucky and Employment Law in Kentucky and has presented at various seminars on health care law, legal ethics and employment law.
Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Mr. Ingle attended the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate and graduate work. He received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science in 1993, a Master of Public Administration from the University's Martin School in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from the College of Law in 1997.
Outside of work, Mr. Ingle is active in the business community, working with Commerce Lexington and currently serving on its Public Policy Council and advising on several political campaigns and public issues. His civic involvement includes working with the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation and recently serving as President of the New Opportunity School for Women and on the board of Ashland Terrace, a non‑profit retirement home. He is active at Southern Hills United Methodist Church as well, where he currently serves on the Pastor and Staff Relations Committee.
