S. Ryan White wins Regional All Star AwardJackson Kelly PLLC attorney S. Ryan White was presented with a Regional All Star Award at the 3rd Annual Generation West Virginia Young Leaders Conference held on May 6, 2010.
The award is given to one person from each region in West Virginia as a way of recognizing young professionals who demonstrate exemplary service for Generation West Virginia as well as the local and regional organizations that are affiliated with Generation West Virginia. White received the award for the Charleston region.
The mission of Generation West Virginia is to build a better community for West Virginia which will attract and retain young talent. White is on the executive management committee of Generation Charleston as well as the co-captain of the Public Policy Team, which was just formed in 2010. White also chaired the committee that organized an inaugural Generation West Virginia Day at the West Virginia Legislature this year which attracted over fifty attendees from across the state. In 2009, he was the co-captain of the Special Events Team for Generation Charleston.
White is an associate at Jackson Kelly and practices in the Public and Private Finance Practice Group. White's practice is focused on tax exempt and taxable government bonds and related governmental financings as well as corporate trust and governmental agency representation. In that capacity, he routinely serves as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, trustee's counsel or issuer's or borrower's counsel. White has experience in the financing and development of infrastructure projects as well as experience with Tax Increment Financing. White also has significant experience in drafting economic development and public finance legislation, including legislation for Recovery Zone Bonds and legislation authorizing the issuance of Lottery Revenue Bonds. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
