Adam J. Schwendeman is an associate practicing in the Firm's Occupational Safety and Health and Litigation Practice Groups. He regularly counsels and defends clients from various industries in both administrative and civil litigation.

In his administrative practice, Mr. Schwendeman regularly assists clients in challenging enforcement actions instituted by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He has significant experience in challenging civil penalty assessments levied by those agencies, as well as representing clients in 105(c) and 110(c) investigations and actions instituted by MSHA. In addition, Mr. Schwendeman provides counsel to clients during accident investigations and assists those clients in regulatory actions that often follow.

Mr. Schwendeman also routinely defends clients in state and federal civil actions. He has defended a diverse range of clients including healthcare providers, energy companies and pharmaceutical industry companies in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, toxic tort and product liability cases.

Mr. Schwendeman earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, he served as both Outside Articles Editor and Staff Writer for the University of Dayton Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Ohio University in 2008 with a minor in history.
