Sylvia Winston Nichols* is Counsel practicing with the Litigation Practice Group in the Firm’s Morgantown, West Virginia, office. She has experience in multiple aspects of civil litigation from discovery, expert work, motion practice and trial preparation to settlement negotiations. Ms. Nichols also has experience in complex commercial litigation, including class action, mass and toxic tort, products liability and environmental matters.

Ms. Nichols is licensed to practice in Illinois and Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Ms. Nichols received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Spanish from Duke University in 2004. She went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2007. While in law school, Ms. Nichols was Content Editor for the Duke Law & Technology Review and Articles Editor for the Journal of Gender Law & Policy.
