Ashley M. Harman is a Member in the Firm's Administrative Practice Group. Ms. Harman's practice focuses on the representation of coal companies before the United States Department of Labor and the Office of Administrative Law Judges. Ms. Harman also represents clients at the appellate level before the Benefits Review Board and the United States Court of Appeals.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Harman established and enforced child support and paternity orders on behalf of the State of West Virginia Bureau for Child Support Enforcement. Prior to her employment with the State, Ms. Harman represented low income clients in domestic and commercial matters while employed with the West Virginia Legal Services Plan.

Ms. Harman has been admitted to the West Virginia State Bar and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third, Fourth and Sixth Circuits.

Ms. Harman is a graduate of West Virginia University's College of Arts and Sciences where she received her Bachelor of Arts in 1993, cum laude, and a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 1996. Ms. Harman is an active member of her church where she serves as a Sunday School teacher and Church Board Secretary, among other positions. Ms. Harman has also been active as a reader in the Monongalia County Read Aloud program for over fourteen years.
