Steven T. Mulligan is Counsel in Jackson Kelly's Denver, Colorado, office. Mr. Mulligan is a member of the Firm's Commercial Law Practice Group, and his practice focuses on business and commercial law, including commercial contracts and transactions, construction contracting, mechanic's liens, mergers and acquisitions, company formation, business restructuring and reorganization, Bankruptcy Code section 363 sales, creditor's rights, receiverships, foreclosures and commercial litigation in state and federal court, including arguing cases to the Colorado Court of Appeals and to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Mulligan's restructuring and reorganization experience includes representing creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases throughout the United States and has represented numerous Chapter 11 debtors in successfully confirming plans of reorganization. He has also represented clients in prosecuting and defending adversary proceedings involving preference claims, lien-priority disputes and non-dischargeability litigation.

Mr. Mulligan is a former in-house counsel for a privately held, diversified group of international companies. During his tenure, he provided advice on a wide range of  legal issues relating to the companies' diverse operations, which included the high-tech sector, real estate, advertising, natural resources, energy and manufacturing. Additionally, he was responsible for investigating, analyzing and opining on potential acquisition targets, both in the United States and abroad. 

Mr. Mulligan is a current member of the Standing Local Bankruptcy Rules Revision Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

Mr. Mulligan, a Colorado native, is a graduate of the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
