Gregg D. Bernaciak is Counsel practicing with the Transactional Practice Group in the Firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office. He is a proficient transactional attorney with extensive experience in public finance and affordable housing. Mr. Bernaciak represents issuers, including municipal authorities and local government units, borrowers, underwriters and trustees in various types of public finance transactions, including (i) industrial development bonds, (ii) 501(c)(3) conduit financings for colleges, universities, hospitals and health care facilities, and other non-profit organizations, and (iii) financings with the United States of America, acting as lender, through the USDA Rural Utilities Service. Mr. Bernaciak also advises on tax-exempt and taxable bond issues for single family housing, multifamily housing (including projects utilizing low income housing tax credits) with FHA/GNMA and Fannie Mae credit enhancements, redevelopment projects, and tax increment financing.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Bernaciak served as Authorities Manager for Allegheny County Economic Development where he directed the activities of six municipal authorities whose purpose was to issue tax-exempt obligations for eligible manufacturing, health care, higher education, housing and 501(c)(3) projects.

Mr. Bernaciak is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Bond Lawyers. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Residential Resources, Inc.

Mr. Bernaciak graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He received his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law.
