2012 Teaming To Win Conference

Jackson Kelly PLLC is proud to be a part of this year’s “Teaming to Win” conference.  Registration is now open for the 22nd annual "Teaming to Win" conference, to be held on May 29-31, 2012 at the Morgantown Convention Center, Morgantown, West Virginia. The conference includes keynote speakers, educational seminars, exhibits and technology demonstrations. Featured speakers include:

  • U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV)
  • U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV)
  • Rep. David McKinley (R-WV)
  • Karen G. Mills, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration
  • West Virginia University President James P. Clements

Jackson Kelly attorneys Eric Whytsell and Hopewell Darneille will provide legal commentary during the morning session with a distinguished panel of small business owners who will be discussing their experiences and lessons learned concerning teaming agreements and joint ventures. During the afternoon session, Mr. Whytsell and Mr. Darneille will join Barbara Weaver and Melissa Loder of the Small Business Administration to discuss joint ventures, teaming agreements and subcontracts and choosing the right strategy. Teaming to Win is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation providing business support conferences, educational activities, promotional forums, networking resources, workforce and business growth opportunities. The organization's charitable purpose is to advance and improve small business prospects in West Virginia, and to facilitate educational opportunities which promote higher business standards, methods and practices.

Eric Whytsell is a Member in Jackson Kelly's Washington, D.C., office, in the Government Contracts and Investigations Practice Group. Mr. Whytsell represents a wide variety of clients in connection with selling goods and services to the government in an assortment of industry sectors, including aerospace and defense, software, IT services, electronics, research and development, financial, construction, transportation, health care, biotech, manufacturing and services.

Hopewell Darneille brings more than 30 years of experience in his position as counsel with Jackson Kelly.  Mr. Darneille has represented a wide range of small and large prime contractors and subcontractors, as well as public authorities, in various aspects of public contract law, from contract formation, through performance and contract close-out and post-performance issues.
