Jackson Kelly Attorney to Speak at Heritage Foundation Meeting

Jackson Kelly attorney Danielle M. Waltz will speak at The Heritage Foundation’s Annual Resource Bank Meeting in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 21, 2016 alongside presenters such as former Republican presidential candidate, Carly Fiorina, Kansas governor, Sam Brownback, and others.
Waltz’s session, “Labor Equality for All – Lessons from West Virginia,” will provide a look into the successful effort to pass Senate Bill 1, the Workplace Freedom Act during the 2016 legislative session. She will be joined on the panel by James Sherk, a research fellow in labor economics at The Heritage Foundation. The Bill goes into effect on July 1, 2016 at which time West Virginia will become the 26th Right-to-Work state. Waltz has been widely recognized for her involvement coordinating the West Virginia Workplace Freedom Coalition in West Virginia, a group of individuals and businesses organized to educate and advocate for passage of the Bill.
Danielle Waltz is an attorney in Jackson Kelly’s Charleston, West Virginia, office, where she practices in the Firm’s Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group and the Commercial Law Group. Ms. Waltz has extensive experience in government relations for a wide array of local, state and national business clients. A lifelong West Virginian, Waltz is committed to making her state a better place to live and work.
She is well versed in West Virginia legislative and administrative matters and has represented and appeared before several state agencies. Her commitment is evidenced by her active involvement in her profession and local community. She is a member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee, the Charleston YWCA Public Policy Committee and the ABCWV Legislative Committee. She is a cum laude graduate of West Virginia University where she received a degree in mathematics. She earned a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2006.
