Jackson Kelly Attorneys Appointed to Colorado Lawyers Committee Boards

Jackson Kelly PLLC is pleased to announce that two of its Denver attorneys have been appointed to serve on Colorado Lawyers Committee Boards. John S. Zakhem, a Member in the Business Law, Construction, and Government industry groups has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Colorado Lawyers Committee while Alexis L. Hailpern, Counsel in the Financial Services industry group has been appointed to the Colorado Lawyers Committee Young Lawyers Division

The Colorado Lawyers Committee is a 41-year-old nonprofit, nonpartisan consortium of more than 80 Colorado law firms dedicated to providing and increasing opportunities for children, the poor and other disadvantaged communities through high impact pro bono legal advocacy. The Lawyers Committee currently has more than 25 task forces and 1,000 volunteers working on projects in the areas of Children’s Rights & Education, Civil Rights & Criminal Law, Poverty & Public Benefits, Community Development, and Immigration. 

The Young Lawyers Division of the Colorado Lawyers Committee is open, without charge, to all law students and lawyers who are under age 40 or have been in practice for fewer than eight years. The YLD is a rewarding way to meet other young lawyers who also want to make a difference in the community and participate in the leadership of the Colorado Lawyers Committee.
