Jackson Kelly’s Denver Office Team is Growing

Jackson Kelly PLLC’s Denver office team is expanding, adding both new faces and new areas of specialty for the office. Jackson Kelly is pleased to announce Gilbert Dickinson, Alexis Hailpern, Eric Holway and Michelle Prud’Homme have joined the Denver, Colorado office. Gilbert, Eric and Michelle bring with them decades of experience in civil litigation in medical malpractice and transportation. Alexis has diverse experience in tax controversy, not-for-profit formation and compliance, as well as business law.
Managing Member Ellen Cappellanti welcomed the new attorneys, stating, “We are thrilled to have Gil, Alexis, Eric, and Michelle join our ranks and expand our litigation and tax teams. We strive to provide our clients with superior representation, and the addition of attorneys of this caliber will ensure we continue to meet this goal.”
Dickinson specializes in complex civil litigation, including medical malpractice defense. He has completed over 80 jury trials. A member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, he serves as a national board representative for the State of Colorado. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Dickinson is active at the local and national level in efforts to improve the civil litigation process and the civil jury trial. He has chaired several National Jury Summit programs on behalf of American Board of Trial Advocates. He has also been selected to Colorado Super Lawyers since 2008. Dickinson received his undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Hailpern focuses her practice primarily on tax controversy and business law. She also has vast experience with not-for-profit formation and compliance. She represents businesses and individuals before the Internal Revenue Service in controversy cases, including collections and audits/examinations on administrative and Tax Court levels. Hailpern earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Holway has spent his entire legal career as a complex civil litigator, almost exclusively on behalf of individual health care professionals and facilities. He also represents health care providers in disciplinary actions brought against them through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. Holway has extensive experience handling cases in the fields of professional negligence, insurance defense and subrogation, personal injury defense, and premises liability. He currently serves as panel counsel for many of the largest health care systems and insurers in the state of Colorado. Holway received his undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law..
Prud'Homme focuses her practice in the areas of insurance defense, including premises liability, transportation, veterinary, and medical and hospital malpractice. In addition to civil litigation, she represents professionals in disciplinary actions before the Colorado Medical Board, the Board of Nursing, and the State Board of Veterinary Medicine. She is a past President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national organization of experienced plaintiff and defense trial attorneys dedicated to preserving the 7th Amendment right to a civil jury trial and to promoting civility and professionalism in the practice. Prud’Homme received her undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from Colorado College and her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
