Rachel D. Ludwig, an associate in the Firm’s Charleston, WV office, was quoted in the January edition of Health Care Risk Management. Rachel was a contributor to the article “Freestanding EDs Can Have Special Compliance, Liability Concerns.” The article discusses the dramatic rise in the number of freestanding emergency departments and points out that compliance and liability issues with these entities are not necessarily the same as with in-hospital emergency departments.
