CHARLESTON, W.Va. – (August 18, 2017) – Jackson Kelly PLLC is pleased to announce that firm Counsel Susan R. Snowden has been honored as a recipient of the Lawyers and Leaders Class of 2017. In its inaugural year, this award recognizes the accomplishments of lawyers who have made a positive impact on the state and the nation. Lawyers and Leaders inductees have dedicated their careers to service to others and their communities, and they embody the virtues of excellence, leadership, service and ethics.
Ms. Snowden is Counsel in the Litigation Practice Group with a focus in Insurance Defense. Ms. Snowden focuses her practice in the areas of class action and insurance defense work, employment law and a variety of environmental matters.
Among Snowden’s community involvements, she serves as an active board member in various positions held with the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival, Inc.; past chair of the University Healthcare Foundation, Inc.; current Secretary of the Martinsburg/Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the board of WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center/Jefferson Medical Center, and a member of the United Way Potomac Society. Ms. Snowden is a Local School Improvement counsel member of the James Rumsey Technical Institute and a founding member of the Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH) Women’s Giving Circle. Ms. Snowden is also a board member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce. She previously was a board member for the United Way of Berkeley & Morgan Counties. In addition, Snowden is a member of the West Virginia 4-H All-stars, a past assistant leader of the Arden 4-H Club, and an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arden, W.Va.

The Lawyers and Leaders Class of 2017 will be featured in the Summer/August 2017 issue of WVE and was recognized at a reception which was held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the WVU College of Law in Morgantown.
