David R. Stone, II, is an Associate in the Manufacturing industry group, focusing primarily on litigation and labor and employment. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Morgantown, West Virginia.
A skilled researcher and writer, David has extensive experience writing pre-trial and post-trial motions and appellate briefs. David graduated Order of the Coif from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as editor in chief of the West Virginia Law Review and was a member of the United States Supreme Court Clinic.
Prior to attending law school, David had a career in marketing and believes he is a better attorney for it. He brings this real-world experience to his practice of law, making him a better writer and increasing his understanding of the business world. Ultimately, it made him a better litigator.
David is an avid golfer, a passion he put to purpose prior to obtaining his law degree. He worked as a tournament director for the Betty Puskar FUTURES Golf Classic and for PGA of America as a director of junior golf. He currently volunteers as the tournament director for the Morgantown High School Alumni Golf Tournament.
He completed his undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, D.C., where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in marketing. He also holds a master’s degree in sport management from West Virginia University. With two post-graduate degrees from WVU, it’s no wonder he’s a big Mountaineer fan.
