Andrew C. "Andy" Nickel is Counsel practicing with the Health Care industry group, focusing primarily on healthcare litigation. He practices out of the Firm's office in Denver, Colorado.
Andy is well experienced representing clients in medical negligence and professional liability claims, having represented hospitals, mental health professionals, physicians, and other healthcare providers on many legal issues regarding regulatory compliance, risk management, and complex litigation.
Andy counsels clients in avoidance of frequently encountered issues involving HIPPA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Regulations, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) regulations governing healthcare providers and facilities. He works closely with self-insured healthcare systems and individual professional liability insurance carriers to provide regular comprehensive case analysis, evaluation, case valuation, resolution strategies, and litigation recommendations throughout the course of litigation.
