Arthur Wolfson is a Member in the Energy and Mining Law industry groups, focusing primarily on workplace safety and health. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Arthur focuses his practice on the representation of mining and industrial clients and compliance with federal and state safety and health regulatory requirements. He has participated in fatal and non-fatal accident investigations, from on-site counseling to litigation. He frequently litigates before administrative entities such as the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Arthur is always at ease when presenting and advocating for his clients before these panels – as a former middle school teacher, an administrative panel is far less intimidating than a classroom full of seventh graders.
In his practice, Arthur’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of his clients and their employees by helping them with the challenges they face in their jobs. An academic at heart, Arthur enjoys research and writing, as well as working with his clients’ employees at the job site.
Pulling from his experience as a teacher, a substantial portion of Arthur’s practice involves compliance counseling and training – something he enjoys most about his practice.
Prior to law school, Arthur was a member of Teach for America in New Orleans, where he taught history and math and coached football, basketball, and track. He’s an American history enthusiast and is always ready to learn about a new culture or cook something adventurous.
