Chelsea A. Creta is an Associate, focusing primarily on commercial litigation. She practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
One of Chelsea’s favorite parts of her practice is learning something new from each of her cases, enabling her to become well-versed in a variety of industries and issues. She fully embraces the less glamorous tasks typically assigned to associates – such as document review – by turning them into opportunities for growth. For example, in order to stay on the cutting-edge of the latest document review technology, Chelsea joined the Firm's internal e-discovery group.
Chelsea earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, with a minor in music, from Davidson College in 2014, where she sang in an a cappella group. She earned her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2017. While in law school, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice. She was also Client Counseling Competition Administrator on the Washington and Lee Moot Court Board and Co-chair of The Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Distinguished Lecture Series Board. Chelsea was a semifinalist in the Moot Court Client Counseling Competition and a quarterfinalist in the Moot Court Robert J. Grey, Jr. Negotiations Competition.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and keeping up with her Netflix habit.
