Gilbert A. “Gil” Dickinson is a Member in the Health Care Industry Group, focusing primarily on litigation and medical malpractice defense. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Denver, Colorado.

Bio

Gil specializes in complex litigation, including the defense of hospitals, physicians, and other professionals. Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, he spent 40 years as managing partner of a firm devoted to the defense of personal injury and related claims against an array of individuals and companies, most recently focusing on the healthcare profession.

Gil has spoken on numerous topics related to trial skills and the handling of complex claims. Over the past 10 years, he has organized and chaired three national Jury Trial Summits sponsored by the American Board of Trial Advocates. These summits focused on various topics related to the preservation and improvement of the civil jury trial.

Gil knows that being sued is difficult. He has always enjoyed the process of learning about the client, how and why a dispute developed, and helping the client through a resolution, whether it’s a trial or settlement.

In his spare time, you might find Gil on the ski slopes, playing golf or racquetball, or participating in a triathlon, and if he’s not there, you’ll find him spending time with his grandchildren. A little known fact about Gil is that he has a musical side. He actually wrote the wedding music for all of his children’s weddings. He also plays keyboard in his church band.
