Jessica L. Robey is a Member in the Health Care and Manufacturing industry groups, focusing primarily on litigation. She practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Much of Jessica’s legal practice is focused on defending health care providers, including physicians, mid-level providers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities, in medical malpractice actions brought under the Medical Professional Liability Act (MPLA). She has defended cases involving a variety of medical issues such as obstetrics, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and various nursing care issues. She has also represented health care providers in disciplinary actions before the West Virginia Board of Medicine.
Additionally, as a member of Firm’s construction group, she has represented owners, design professionals, contractors, construction managers and subcontractors, in multi-party construction litigation.
Jessica is also a member of the Firm’s government relations group and is a registered lobbyist. Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, she served as Education Committee Counsel for the West Virginia Senate. As counsel, she was charged with drafting legislation, meeting with stakeholders, presenting legislation to the Education Committee, and providing advice and counsel to the members of the Senate.
In her free time, she maintains a very active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys attending spin classes, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their two-year old son, Graham.
