John Mark Huff is Counsel in the Litigation Practice Group, focusing primarily on administrative law. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
John concentrates his practice in the areas of general, medical, and health care litigation. A substantial part of his practice involves the defense of doctors, nurses, hospitals, and other health care providers in actions brought under the West Virginia Medical Professional Liability Act (MPLA).
John enjoys many facets of his practice, but his favorite day-to-day tasks include taking and defending depositions and legal research and writing. He loves immersing himself in the facts of the case and quickly becomes an invaluable team player.
His ability to dedicate himself fully to the task at hand crosses over to how he spends his time outside of the office. When he isn’t representing clients or researching for a case, John serves as a very active member of his community. You can find him on the football field or basketball court refereeing games throughout the area. His active lifestyle doesn’t stop there; he is also a first-degree black belt in the American Taekwondo Association.
Whether he’s refereeing or providing counsel for those in the medical field, John is always a dedicated team member and adds value to the Jackson Kelly team.
