Kevin R. Waldo is a Member in the Banking, Business Law, and Energy industry groups, focusing primarily on commercial litigation and mergers and acquisitions. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Kevin’s practice centers on commercial lending, commercial leasing and acquisitions, and regulation of financial institutions. He’s an expert negotiator and enjoys developing relationships with his clients, many of whom he would consider friends first.
He regularly represents and advises financial institutions and has represented a number of corporations in complex loan transactions, real estate development projects, collection matters, and landlord-tenant disputes.
Kevin also has extensive experience in the energy field, representing all sides of potential transactions. Kevin has advised his energy company clients in the purchase and sale of mineral leases and related assets. He also represents purchasers, sellers, lessors, lessees, and lenders in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leasings and acquisitions. Additionally, Kevin has experience representing lending institutions and skilled nursing facilities in commercial litigation matters.
Kevin can also offer his clients counsel outside the legal field – as a self-proclaimed closet “tech nerd,” he can give sound advice on which of the latest gadgets are worth the purchase. If Kevin doesn’t have the latest version of an iPhone, something must be seriously wrong.
Kevin is hard-working, smart, detail-oriented, and an asset to his clients. He’s also self-deprecating and humble, which means he’s probably embarrassed to see himself described in such glowing terms, even though every word is true. Kevin can’t help but win people over, however, and to know him is to want to work with him.
