Neil C. Brown is an Associate in the Health Care industry group, focusing primarily on health care regulatory issues and mergers and acquisitions. He practices out of the Firm's office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Neil is always looking for an opportunity to create innovative and effective solutions. Even before becoming a lawyer, he had a lot of practice doing so. While an intern at the West Virginia Health Care Authority's State Privacy Office, Neil developed an interactive web-based auditing program to help state agencies adhere to federal and state compliance requirements. Neil was also a legal intern at the West Virginia University Office of Information Technology Services, where he provided guidance on data privacy, information security, and health care compliance. Neil has a proven track record of going above and beyond to deliver stellar results.
Neil received his undergraduate degree in legal studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and began his law school career at The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. He was also granted the privilege of interning for the Hon. Judge William Amesbury of the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Before long, however, West Virginia drew Neil in and he became a resident of the Mountain State. Neil completed his law degree at West Virginia University College of Law in 2017.
Now as an attorney, one of Neil's favorite aspects of his practice is the ease at which he is able to collaborate with the Firm's diverse network of experienced attorneys on a daily basis. He is happy to have the opportunity to continue doing what he loves – efficiently solving problems. And now his clients get to benefit from his hard work, so it's truly a win-win.
In his spare time, Neil enjoys spending time with his dog Lily, getting in 18 holes of golf, and traveling around the country.
