Nicole C. Johns is an Associate in the Financial Services industry group, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and bankruptcy. She practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Nicole is personable, passionate, and craves new challenges. Although Nicole has always known she wanted to help others as an attorney, she has recently found her niche in the challenging legal field of business law, where she has been able to help clients of all sizes, from large corporations to individuals, on a wide variety of issues. Nicole enjoys cultivating relationships with clients and working with them to ensure positive and efficient outcomes.
Nicole joined the Firm in 2016 after serving as a summer associate. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2016. During her last semester of law school, Nicole was an extern for the Honorable Judge Irene M. Keeley in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. While in law school, Nicole served as an Associate Editor of the West Virginia Law Review and Vice President of the Community Service Counsel. She also served as a research assistant for David C. Hardesty, Jr., President Emeritus and Professor of Law at West Virginia University. In this position, she aided in the researching and writing of his article, Introduction to Bill Drafting in West Virginia, which was published on the West Virginia Law Review Online.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys the outdoors and being involved in the community. She likes running long distance races in new cities where she can visit and explore and loves spending time with her dog, Milo. She serves her community by participating in the Jackson Kelly Education Elevators Program, which allows attorneys and those in the community to mentor local elementary school students.
