Thomas Motes is an Associate practicing in the Business Law practice group, focusing primarily on real estate and intellectual property.  He practices out of the Firm's office in Morgantown, West Virginia.

With a background as a real estate agent, a landman, and a patent attorney, Thomas offers a unique combination of knowledge and experience to his clients. He can handle a wide range of transactional work, everything from simple land titles to complex patent and trademark applications.

Thomas earned a Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in 2021 and a Bachelor of Science degree in biochestry from West Virginia University in 2013. He is also Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In his downtime, Thomas and his wife enjoy attending WVU football and basketball games, spending time travelling, and getting in all the rounds of golf and other outdoor activities that they can.
