CHARLESTON, W.Va. – (December 6, 2017) – Jackson Kelly PLLC is pleased to announce that firm Member Danielle Waltz has been selected co-chair of the Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) chapter in Charleston. Jane Bostic, the Accelerate Forward Director at the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) was also selected as co-chair. The new organization will cultivate and advance programs, events and a community to support female leadership development and business growth.

Ms. Waltz is a Member practicing in the Commercial Law Practice Group and the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group in the Firm's Charleston office. Ms. Waltz has wide legal experience, including litigating commercial banking cases and handling complex multi-party construction matters. She has many leadership roles within the community and her profession, including serving as a member of the Board of the YWCA as well as a member of the ABCWV and WV Chamber Government Relations Committee. Ms. Waltz was recently appointed chair of the 2018 Defense Research Institute Annual Meeting. She also has extensive experience in government relations for a wide array of local, state and national business clients.

Danielle earned a Juris Doctor from West Virginia University, where she was the Symposium Editor for the West Virginia Law Review, a recipient of the Dennis and Louise Sharp Scholarship and a member of the Marlyn Lugar Trial Association Traveling Team. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics, cum laude, from West Virginia University in 2003. She was a West Virginia University Foundation Scholar, a National Merit Scholar and a recipient of the Robert C. Byrd scholarship.
