Rob Alsop Joins Jackson Kelly PLLC

The former WVU Vice President for Strategic Initiatives will work out of the Morgantown office

Jackson Kelly PLLC is pleased to announce that Rob Alsop will be joining the Firm as a Member as part of the Firm’s Transactional group, focusing on corporate, economic development, and higher education law. He will be practicing out of the Firm’s Morgantown, West Virginia office.

Rob comes to Jackson Kelly from West Virginia University where he served as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives.

“I am excited for the Firm and our clients to have someone of Rob’s character, experience, and knowledge join Jackson Kelly,” says Firm Managing Member, Bob Tweel. “To bring in his ability to understand and assist clients in both the private and public sectors, and bridge those gaps, is invaluable.”

Beyond his leadership experience at WVU, Rob was the Chief of Staff to West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin from 2010-2013, and held multiple high level positions during Joe Manchin’s time as governor, including Secretary of Revenue.

“I am happy to have Rob join us in our Morgantown office,” says Morgantown Office Managing Member, Wendy Adkins. “We are excited that Rob has decided to return to the Firm as he is great asset to any legal team.”

Rob will also serve as the Managing Member of the Addison Strategies Group, LLC, a Morgantown-based consulting firm, and he remains active in his community and giving back. He serves as an adjunct professor at the West Virginia University College of Law, teaching “Business Transactions Drafting.”
