Blair Wessels is an associate attorney with six years of experience representing clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters. As a member of the firm’s general litigation practice group, Blair regularly represents clients in matters involving complex litigation, health care litigation, insurance defense, and appellate work. She practices out of the Firm's office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Her experience includes representing physicians and health care facilities, public utilities, religious organizations, energy companies, as well as attorneys and law firms in legal malpractice disputes. As part of her appellate practice, Blair has drafted briefs before West Virginia appellate courts and the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Blair has also filed amicus curiae briefs for several organizations in a variety of cases.
With each case, Blair strives to bring a strategic and detail-oriented approach, combining her strong advocacy skills with practical problem-solving to achieve effective results for her clients.
Blair currently serves on the Young Lawyer Board for the State Bar Board of Governors. She is also a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia and DRI. As part of her community, Blair is a member of the Junior League of Charleston, West Virginia.
Blair earned her Juris Doctor, Order of the Coif, from the West Virginia University College of Law. While in law school, Blair utilized her passion for legal writing to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the West Virginia Law Review. Blair earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a double major in politics and international affairs from Wake Forest University.
When Blair is not working, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her three cats (Gus, Gideon, and Goldie). If you can’t find Blair in the office, she can likely be found down the street at Charleston’s cat café.
